Who I Am

Hi, I’m Natalie Wood—founder of Thrive Women’s Wellness.

As a 50-year-old woman and current emergency RN with over two decades of experience, I’ve seen first hand how the medical system often overlooks the real challenges of peri/menopause. With more than 100 possible symptoms and very few tailored solutions, too many women are left feeling confused, dismissed, and unsupported.

I’ve always been active, health conscious and driven . I spent my early years in the British Army as a combat medic, this experience taught me self discipline and pushed my body to its physical limits. At age 39 I began my 8 year journey in martial arts. I competed in Jiu Jitsu and at 45 years old, I won a Bronze medal at the World Masters in Las Vegas. As a purple belt, I became an instructor, running my own Cardio-kickboxing classes, women’s Jiu Jitsu classes, and developing and teaching self defense seminars.

My vitality continued until around age 46, then the tendons could not tolerate my intense training, at 48 the hot flashes started, disturbed sleep, lower tolerance to stress, something shifted—my weight crept up despite clean eating and intense workouts. Sound familiar? The struggle is real.

That wake-up call led me down a path of deep research and personal transformation. I became determined to understand the metabolic changes, hormone fluctuations, glucose imbalances, and stress triggers that affect women in midlife. What I discovered changed everything.

My interest in being the healthiest version of myself as well as an interest in helping others led me to obtain a holistic health and nutrition coaching diploma in 2021. I also have a menopause specialist certification in 2025 as well as a personal trainer certification via NASM.

Now, I combine my medical background with certifications in holistic health, nutrition coaching, menopause support, and personal training to help women reclaim their energy, confidence, and vitality. Whether it’s mood swings, fatigue, anxiety, weight gain, or just feeling “off”—I’m here to help you navigate it all with compassion, science, and a little humor.
