Who I Am

Hi, I’m Natalie Wood—founder of Thrive Women’s Wellness.

About Thrive Women’s Wellness

I’m a 50-year-old woman, an emergency RN with over 20 years of experience, and a coach who understands firsthand how overlooked perimenopause and menopause really are.

In the medical system, women are often told their symptoms are “normal”, yet left without real solutions. With over 100 possible symptoms, it’s no wonder so many feel confused, dismissed, and unsupported.

My Background

I’ve always pushed myself physically and mentally.

  • Former British Army combat medic

  • 8 years competing in Jiu Jitsu

  • World Masters Bronze Medalist at 43

  • Instructor for women’s self-defense, cardio kickboxing, and Jiu Jitsu

For years, I felt strong, disciplined, and in control of my health.

Then Everything Changed

Around my late 40s, things shifted.

  • My body stopped responding to training the same way

  • Multiple ligament strains

  • Weight gain crept in despite clean eating

  • Sleep became disrupted

  • Hot flashes and stress intolerance appeared

Sound familiar? That was my turning point.!

What I Discovered

I became determined to understand what was really happening. So I dove deep into:

  • Hormonal changes in perimenopause and menopause

  • Metabolic slowdown and insulin resistance

  • Stress, sleep, and nervous system regulation

And what I found changed everything, not just for me, but for the women I now work with.

My Approach

I now combine:

  • 20+ years as an ER nurse

  • Holistic Health & Nutrition Coaching Diploma

  • Menopause Specialist Certification

  • NASM Certified Personal Trainer

  • Member of the Canadian menopause society

To create practical, personalized strategies that actually work in real life.

No extremes. No guesswork. Just a clear plan built for your body.

Who I Help

I work with women who feel:

  • Frustrated by weight gain that doesn’t make sense

  • Exhausted despite doing “everything right”

  • Overwhelmed by conflicting advice

  • Like their body has changed overnight

  • Women with hormonal issues such as PCOS

Whether it’s fatigue, anxiety, poor sleep, or just feeling “off”, you’re not alone, and there’s a way forward.

Let’s Work Together

If you’re ready to understand your body and finally have a plan that works:
